Circular Walk - Hassop to Chatsworth House

Walk Directions

Hassop Station to Edensor (3.01 miles)

We take the Monsal Trail towards Bakewell. After about half a mile we take the footpath on the left. It goes up the hill where it swings around to the right and joins a track. We go right on the track, and join the road at a hairpin turn. We take the left lane and go towards Ball Cross Farm. The lane takes us past the farm. Just after the steep gradient there is a track to the right which we take. This is the road through Edensor. The church is near the bottom of this estate village.

Edensor to Chatsworth House via Hunting Tower (1.57 miles)

We leave Edensor and cross the road and join the path. This takes us to the main bridge over the Derwent. We carry straight on and go past the house towards the farm yard. The road to the right near the entrance of the farmyard takes us up to the Hunting Tower. We retrace our steps and visit the garden and house.
